Jill Milan Announces Spring/Summer 2012 Luxury Handbag Line

SAN FRANCISCO, March 6, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Luxury fashion brand Jill Milan today announced its Spring/Summer 2012 Collection of luxury handbags, featuring designs for evening, day, business and travel. "The new collection broadens our offerings nicely," said Jill Fraser, company co-founder and chief executive officer. "For Spring/Summer we introduced new colors and now also offer bags for the office and travel."

Additions to the collection include the Nob Hill Evening Bag, available in black and camel faux patent. It features an interior zippered pocket, and additional pockets for mobile devices and keys. For day use, the popular Newport Quilted Tote is now available in blue faux leather, as is the Hollywood Hills Crossbody.

The Tribeca Day Bag is a new offering among bags for business and travel and is available in black, brown and camel. The Tribeca Day Bag features the Jill Milan signature V-shaped quilt pattern and palladium-coated trim. It is large enough to carry an iPad, with one large internal zippered pocket and two smaller pockets suitable for carrying mobile devices. Among other bags that go to the office is the Firenze Satchel, now available in camel.

Jill Milan's Spring/Summer 2012 Collection was designed by Maya Stewart, who previously worked for brands such as Judith Leiber, Matthew Williamson and C.C. Skye. She is a graduate of the London College of Fashion and recognition of her work includes the Professor Jimmy Choo Award, the Link-It Lock-It Competition and the Lineapelle Young Designers Contest.

The Jill Milan collection is 100 percent made in Italy from Italian fabrics. Details include hand stitching and handmade palladium-coated hardware, and some bags are handmade by a craftsman who creates jewelry for Europe's leading luxury brands. As with all Jill Milan products, the Spring/Summer collection of handbags is free of leather and other animal-based materials.
