FRED HERSCH has regularly garnered jazz's most prestigious awards, including 15 GRAMMY® Award Nominations, a 2016 Doris Duke Artist, a 3x-Jazz Journalists Association "Pianist of the Year" Award-Winner (2011, 2016, 2018), a 3x-Downbeat Critic's Poll "Pianist of the Year" Award-Winner (2015, 2016, 2021), and the 2017 Prix Honorem de Jazz from L'Academie Charles Cros (France).

In 2014, Fred Hersch garnered his sixth GRAMMY® Award Nomination for his solo on "Duet" from Free Flying, a duo album with guitarist Julian Lage that received a rare 5-star rating from Downbeat Magazine. An exceptionally responsive and intuitive collaborator, Hersch has engaged in duo partnerships with a number of spirited artists, including Anat Cohen, Bill Frisell, Esperanza Spalding, Julian Lage and Miguel Zenon; as well as vocalists Kurt Elling, Kate McGarry and Renee Fleming.
