NEWARK, N.J., Feb. 29, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The Journal of Commerce's JOC Exchange (www.jocexchange.com) today announces that De Well Group, a leader in multi-national integrated supply chain logistics, has adopted JOC Exchange and will be marketing and selling ocean capacity to select customers through this channel.

JOC Exchange is a multilingual web platform that allows sellers of ocean container capacity (such as Ocean Carriers or NVOCCs) to sell capacity to their invited customers. The seller posts available capacity and rates, and offers its buying customers the ability to secure space and enter into a binding contract. All transactions are conducted electronically, hosted securely and the service is accessible 24/7.

The service is designed to simplify the process for buyers to review available capacity and to secure it with a few mouse clicks. JOC Exchange is expected to bring significant efficiencies to the process of marketing, selling and buying containerized ocean capacity.
