Jockey International, Inc. And Jockey Being Family Celebrate National Adoption Month By Donating Sales During November

KENOSHA, Wis., Nov. 4, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Jockey International, Inc. and Jockey Being Family, its corporate initiative that helps adoptive families stay together forever by raising awareness, funding and support for post-adoption services, are donating proceeds from online, in-store and Jockey Being Family teddy bear sales to raise funds for post-adoption support.

"National Adoption Month is a time to celebrate families coming together through adoption," said Jockey Chairman and CEO Debra S. Waller. "Keeping families together is what Jockey Being Family is all about, and I welcome everyone to support adoptive families this month."

One hundred percent of sales from the Jockey Being Family's teddy bears will be donated to Jockey Being Family's local and national nonprofit partners, allowing them to conduct vital post-adoption trainings, conferences, workshops and more for adoptive families. The teddy bears provide comfort to adopted children and also remind families about the importance of seeking help and support after an adoption is complete. 

Additionally, Jockey will donate 1 percent of all sales on Jockey.com and through the Jockey catalog to its partners, and is also encouraging customers to donate $1 at the cash registers in its retail stores.

Adopted as an infant, Waller has made the need for post-adoption support Jockey's corporate initiative and her personal passion.
