
Jonathan Freeland Named Vice President of Marketing for Cox Virginia
CHESAPEAKE, Va., Jan. 24, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Cox Communications has named Jonathan Freeland its new Vice President of Marketing for Cox Virginia. Freeland began in this role on January 10 and will be based out of Cox's Hampton Roads office.

Freeland has more than fifteen years of Marketing and Sales experience with Cox. He entered Cox as a Direct Sales Representative for Hampton Roads in 1995. After working in numerous management roles, in 2005, Freeland was elevated to Director of Sales & Marketing for Cox's Middle Georgia operation. Shortly thereafter, he advanced to Vice President of Sales & Distribution and then Vice President of Marketing, both while at Cox Kansas/Arkansas.

While at Cox Virginia, Jonathan will be focused primarily on directing a successful comprehensive marketing program that encompasses the Roanoke, Northern Virginia and Hampton Roads areas.
Freeland earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, with a Marketing concentration, from Old Dominion University. Then in 2000, he earned his Masters of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Marketing Management from Regent University, and has also attended multiple professional development programs at Harvard Business School. He has served on the Boards of Directors for the YMCA of Greater Wichita and the Music Theater of Wichita, respectively, and is also a member of CTAM national, AMA and Rotary International.
