
Jonathan Michaels is Granted Admission to the United States Supreme Court Bar
NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., April 13 /PRNewswire/ -- On March 1, 2010, Jonathan Michaels, founding member of the Newport Beach business law firm Michaels Law Group, received one of the highest honors that can be bestowed on a United States attorney: admission to the United States Supreme Court Bar. With this honor, Mr. Michaels is entitled to present and argue cases before the land's highest Court, and he has a standing invitation to attend all oral argument sessessions, which are otherwise closed for admission.
The Supreme Court is the highest Court in the United States, and has been responsible for issuing decisions that have impacted the lives of all citizens. From Roe v. Wade, which authorized free choice, to Brown v. Board of Education, which ended school segregation, the Court's rulings have a substantial impact on the country's social and economic landscape.

After graduating from the USC Marshall School of Business in 1992, Jonathan Michaels attended Whittier Law School, graduating in 1995 in the top 4% of his class. While in law school, Mr. Michaels served as an editor of the Whittier Law Review, he represented his alma mater in several national Moot Court Honors Board competitions and, among other things, he published a winning Law Review article that is permanently housed in the U.S. Library of Congress.
Since 1995, Mr. Michaels has specialized in representing clients in complex litigation at all levels of state and federal court throughout the United States, resulting in verdicts and settlements in the tens of millions of dollars. In particular, Mr. Michaels has extensive experience representing clients in the automotive industry against some of the largest auto manufacturers in the world. During his tenure, Mr. Michaels has proceeded to trial against General Motors, Nissan North America, Honda Motor Company, AM General and Toyota Motor Sales, and he has litigated cases with significant results involving DaimlerChrysler, Kia Motors, Land Rover USA, Ford Motor Company and Jaguar Cars.
Mr. Michaels has also represented clients in a variety of international and domestic transactional matters, he has served as outside general counsel for numerous companies, and he has served as private counsel for multiple members of the Forbes "Billionaires" list.
Mr. Michaels is a member of the California and Colorado State Bars, and he is actively involved in the Southern California community. Mr. Michaels lives in Laguna Beach with his wife and two sons, and he is an avid automotive enthusiast.
