Jordan Valley Semiconductors Announces 2009 Year-end Performance

MIGDAL HAEMEK, Israel, March 18, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Jordan Valley Semiconductors Ltd. (JVS), the market leader in X-Ray metrology tools for the semiconductor and HB-LED manufacturing industries, reported its 2009 year-end results today:

The Company surpassed its 2009 financial plan, managing to stay in the black with 10% year-to-year growth, rather than an anticipated 8% loss.

These positive results were generated, despite the difficult market conditions, by technology buys and repeat orders for the company's flagship product - the JVX6200(TM) multi-channel metrology tools for FEOL, BEOL and Wafer-level Packaging (WLP) applications.

During 2009, JVS also completed development of three new products, which were successfully launched. The JVX7200(TM), a revolutionary tool designed for challenging SiGe process monitoring, is the first ever production-worthy tool combining HRXRD and XRR technology for strain, composition, and thickness measurement of SiGe stacks - a critical element of the sub 45 nm technology nodes. The second product, the JVX6200(TM)RD, enables high-level Silicide and metal quality control, based on fast WAXRD technology. The third product, QC3(TM), which is based on well-established diffractometery technology, is a powerful quality control solution for the emerging HB-LED market.
