Joseph Adamo appointed General Manager of Transat Distribution Canada

He succeeds Yves Lalumière, who will become President and CEO of Tourisme Montréal

MONTREAL, June 19, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - Transat A.T. Inc. is pleased to announce the appointment of Joseph Adamo as General Manager of Transat Distribution Canada (TDC), Canada's leading retail distributor of holiday travel. This appointment is effective immediately. Mr. Adamo will add his new duties to those of his current position as Vice-President, Marketing and Web Commercialization for Transat Tours Canada (TTC), managing all Canadian marketing operations for the Air Transat, Transat Holidays and Nolitours brands. Mr. Adamo succeeds Yves Lalumière, who will leave the organization in mid-August to join the team of Tourisme Montréal, where he has been named President and Chief Executive Officer.

"Since arriving at Transat, Joe has demonstrated his leadership skills and proficiency in all commercial facets of the travel industry, from marketing to retail distribution," said Jean-Marc Eustache, President and CEO, Transat. Mr. Adamo has more than 25 years of sales, marketing and customer service experience. Before joining the TTC team, he held key positions in large corporations and advertising agencies, among them Marketel/McCann-Erickson Ltd., TELUS Mobility, Bell Canada and the Yellow Pages Group. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree as well as an MBA from McGill University.
