Joseph Drouhin 2010 Beaujolais Nouveau Label By Fifth Generation Drouhin
BEAUNE, France, Nov. 16, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- While four great-grandchildren of Joseph Drouhin run the family-owned Burgundy wine producer, a member of the fifth generation, CEO Frederic Drouhin's 12-year old daughter Romane, has contributed the image for the label of this year's Beaujolais Nouveau which uses one of her flower watercolors. Like her father, who is an avid gardener and rose-grower, Romane loves flowers – but likes them best on paper.

The 2010 Beaujolais Nouveau, to be released November 18th, is described by Frederic Drouhin as having an appealing red-blue color, a nose evoking red currant and cherry, and refreshing acidity, attributes communicated by Romane's choice of appealing colors.
Maison Joseph Drouhin is one of the leading producers, estate-owners and negociants, in Burgundy. In contrast to the '10 Beaujolais Nouveau, which was produced from grapes picked this fall, Drouhin celebrates its 130th anniversary in 2010. The wines of Drouhin have long been regarded as being among the very best of Burgundy, whether they be a Grand Cru, such as Montrachet Marquis de Laguiche, or a simple, everyday wine like Beaujolais.
The suggested retail price for a 750-ml bottle of Drouhin Beaujolais Nouveau 2010 is $10.00. The wines of Joseph Drouhin are imported by Dreyfus, Ashby in New York City.
