Josh Johnston Joins Ankura as Senior Managing Director

WASHINGTON and DALLAS, July 19, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Ankura Consulting Group (Ankura) announced today the appointment of Josh Johnston as Senior Managing Director. Based in the Dallas office, Mr. Johnston will practice with firm's Litigation & Disputes and Investigations & Accounting Advisory groups.
Josh Johnston has more than 18 years' experience as an auditor, forensic accountant, investigator and expert witness. He testifies on damages valuation, accounting principles (GAAP), accounting fraud, embezzlement, and other accounting and forensic topics.
Mr. Johnston also acts as a neutral accountant, expert witness and consultant in mergers and acquisition disputes, including working capital adjustments and earn-outs.
In addition to his professional responsibilities, Mr. Johnston serves on the board of trustees for the not-for-profit National Institute of Trial Advocacy, the nation's leading provider of legal advocacy skills training. Josh is committed to the Dallas community, having worked with the North Texas Business Council for the Arts and the Dallas Children's Theater.
Before joining Ankura, Mr. Johnston was a managing director of Deloitte Financial Advisory Services LLP for more than fifteen years, where he served clients as an expert witness, neutral accountant, investigator and bankruptcy accountant. Mr. Johnston also assisted audit clients as a fraud specialist. He started his career as an auditor with Arthur Anderson where he served start-ups and large public clients.
