Joyce Koons Honda hopes to donate $60,000 to KEEN Greater DC
MANASSAS, Va., July 3, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- KEEN Greater DC is pleased to announce that Joyce Koons Honda Buick GMC of Manassas has established a goal of donating $60,000 to KEEN Greater DC during July and August.

Koons will donate $100 for every vehicle it sells during those months, with a self-appointed task of selling 600 vehicles, thereby generating the $60,000.
"For over 50 years, we at Joyce Koons Honda Buick GMC have been committed to our community, and to giving back," said Koons' marketing director David Hish. "KEEN Greater DC does so much good, helping kids with special needs turn into super heroes. We are proud and honored to support the outstanding ongoing efforts of both the program and its participants."
A volunteer-led organization, KEEN (Kids Enjoying Exercise Now) Greater DC provides free recreation and sports programs for children and young adults with profound developmental and physical health challenges such as autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome and various other developmental disabilities. KEEN seeks to develop each athlete's self-esteem and confidence, as well as recreational skills and talents, and to increase each athlete's ability to participate in a broader range of recreational activities and environments.
Joyce Koons Honda Buick GMC was started by John and Eleanor Koons in 1939 and is now operated by their daughter Joyce. She carries on the Koons family's commitment to customer satisfaction and community service.
