Analyst Update: Conferences, Quarterly Results, New Facilities and Dividends

The US stock market on Tuesday ended on a mixed note with a slight recovery in oil prices and a rally in tech stocks even as global economic concerns weighed on the market. The Dow Jones industrial average extended its losses from the previous day trading session and fell 0.29%, the S&P 500 edged 0.02% lower, while the NASDAQ composite advanced 0.54%. The European stocks plunged, following a sharp decline in Greece stock markets that suffered its biggest one-day loss since 1987. The Greece stock market ended the day in red, following an early presidential vote being announced by the government. The Asian Markets on December 9, 2014 plummeted after the Chinese government restricted investors from using low-grade corporate bonds as collateral for short-term financing. Besides this, a concern over the dropping oil prices, uncertainty about central-bank policy in Europe contributed to weakening of the Asian stock market.

Randgold Resources Limited (Randgold Resources) CEO Mark Bristow urged gold mining companies to ensure equitable treatment for all stakeholders, while speaking at the Mines and Money conference in London on December 3, 2014.

RGS Energy reported double digit growth in its third quarter revenues despite various challenges in the states of Missouri and Colorado. The Company posted Q3 2014 revenue of $18.9 million, up 13.6% YoY. However, net loss for the quarter widened to $4.8 million or $0.09 per share from $2.1 million or $0.07 per share in Q3 2013.

Renewable Energy Group, Inc. (Renewable Energy Group) celebrated the opening of its Geismar bio refinery, which was installed for the production of renewable hydrocarbon diesel in commercial-scale quantities.

Rentech, Inc. (Rentech) reported strong third quarter growth and expects $11 EBITDA for the year 2014; showed optimism to achieve significantly better results and cash distribution for the fourth quarter.

Royal Gold, Inc. (Royal Gold) has increased its common stock dividend by 5% to $0.88 per share. Royal Gold has steadily increased its annual dividend since 2001.
