LOUISVILLE, Ky., March 17, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Kai Tsai, a nationally renowned healthcare executive in former leadership roles at Valence Health, OptumInsight, and Pricewaterhouse Coopers has joined RowdMap, Inc. and will take on a key market and business development role to drive RowdMap, Inc.'s continued growth transforming relationships between provider organizations and payers. Kai Tsai joins the RowdMap, Inc. team as Executive Vice President of Transformation to help healthcare provider organizations successfully transition to value-based care.
Kai Tsai comes to RowdMap, Inc. from Valence Health, where he served as Executive Vice President to help providers develop and execute strategy and operations necessary to move to value-based care. Previously, he served as Vice President at OptumInsight, where he helped payers and providers use data to improve Triple Aim goals, and as Director at PwC Consulting, he worked with senior healthcare leadership and teams across payers, providers and other healthcare organizations across a wide variety of strategic projects and implementation execution. "Kai comes to us with a wealth of experience and deep industry knowledge and will be a key component to the continued growth and expansion of both our team and also across different organizations within the delivery system. Providers are increasingly assessing their revenue, mitigating the revenue that is at risk from low-value care, growing the revenue that is protected in both fee-for-service and value-based arrangements, and capturing revenue from high-value care," said Melanie Rosenthal, Chief Executive Officer of RowdMap, Inc.
Kai Tsai joins a seasoned leadership team at RowdMap, Inc. including Melanie Rosenthal, Chief Executive Officer, formerly with Eliza, Sprigley, Health Dialog, Solstice Capital, and the Human Genome Project; Joshua Rosenthal, PhD, Chief Scientific Officer, formerly with Eliza and Sprigley and a Fulbright recipient at the Sorbonne's International think tank (EPHE) and a member of the Data Access and Use Group of the National Committee on Vital and Health Statistics (NCVHS); Burak Sezen, Chief Information Officer, previously with Eliza, Sprigley, Health Dialog, Pricewaterhouse Coopers and Ernst&Young; Kim Spalding, CPA, Chief Financial Officer, formerly with Tech Republic, Narrowcast, and Ernst&Young's Entrepreneurial Services; and Marshall Votta, Chief Market Officer, formerly with Leverage Health and NaviNet.
An Ernst and Young EY Entrepreneur Of The Year® winner, RowdMap's Risk-Readiness® benchmarks help health plans, physician groups, and hospital systems identify, quantify, and reduce no-value care that physicians deliver- a central tenet of successful pay-for-value programs.
Through practice patterns and referral analysis, RowdMap's benchmarks identify the health care entities that manage unwarranted and unexpected variation in care. This variation leads to more than $850 Billion in no-value care annually. Payers and physicians use RowdMap's physician and population health benchmarks to create strategies that put these highest performing physicians at the center of networks and then design products, organize clinical programs, and coordinate sales and marketing around them.
RowdMap's platform comes preloaded with benchmarks for every physician, hospital, and zip code in the United States- no IT integration required. RowdMap's Risk-Readiness® Platform works across all market segments and has significantly larger returns than traditional medical economics approaches.
