- Must live and/or work in Central Massachusetts
The award is named for Katharine Forbes Erskine, who twice served Worcester's YWCA as president, first in 1930 and again in 1960. Throughout her life, Ms. Erskine actively championed the rights of women and girls.
A panel of community leaders, past Erskine Award recipients, and YWCA volunteers selected an award recipient in each of the five categories. These selections were not based on the number of nominations an individual received, but rather on the merit of the individual, and nominees are not required to be a member of the YWCA. For more information, see: www.ywcacentralmass.org.
Award recipients will be honored at the YWCA's annual Tribute to Women Luncheon on May 5 at Mechanics Hall.
