The late summer fellowship, which is provided in partnership with Air Astana, the Central Asian nation's airline, its official travel agency, Sayat and the US-based Russian American Travel Agencies Association, aims to raise American awareness of the Central Asian nation's history, culture, business opportunities and science and technological development.
The two fellows selected will travel to the cities of Almaty, Karaganda and the nation's capital, Astana, where they will have the rare opportunity to meet with representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Kazakhstan to share their experiences and ask questions.
