The newly created role positions the firm to serve the next generation of family office capital
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. and CHICAGO, September 2, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Keebeck Wealth Management today announced the hire of Grant Bushman as Director, Investments, a newly created position built to deepen the firm's investment process and extend its reach with the next generation of ultra-high-net-worth families. Bushman joins the firm after seven years at 1888 Investments, the Koch family office, where he served as a Senior Associate: Investments.
"Grant wants the ball. He's the guy who raises his hand when the pressure is on, and he tells you straight when something is outside of his lane, which is rare," said Bruce K. Lee, Founder and CEO of Keebeck Wealth Management. "1888 gave him a real education, learning alongside some of the sharpest people in the business. What he's building here is the next chapter of that education, and I trust him to take Keebeck somewhere I couldn't get on my own."
At Keebeck, Bushman will work to institutionalize the firm's investment process, bringing the kind of rigor and structure typically reserved for large institutional platforms to Keebeck's private client base. He will also help lead the firm's outreach to a younger generation of family office principals and founders, a group Keebeck believes is currently underserved by the wealth management industry's traditional, older-skewing advisor relationships.
"The mandate is simple to say and hard to do: make money without losing money," Bushman explained. "That discipline is what I was trained on, and it's exactly the culture I found here. I want to combine what I learned at 1888 with the vast network Bruce has built on trust and authenticity, and use both to bring more UHNW families and family offices access to strategies they can't get anywhere else."
Bushman's career at 1888 Investments started in private markets, shortly after he graduated with his BA from the University of San Diego School of Business. He worked across venture, pre-IPO, real estate, and credit investments before taking over the firm's hedge fund portfolio. In this role, he was responsible for risk management and sourcing new opportunities, later building out beta and smart beta strategies designed to reduce volatility without giving up return.
A Scottsdale native, Bushman is relocating to Arizona from Denver in the near future, a move he described as an "exciting homecoming." He will represent Keebeck at industry and family office events in the coming months, closely involved in the firm's event strategy in addition to its investment committee.
