Keen Ice Makes the Cut and Will Be Running in the 141st Kentucky Derby with Hall of Famer Kent Desormeaux Aboard

LOS ANGELES, April 27, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- You can't spell Kentucky Derby without the KENT, and it was confirmed over the weekend that Hall of Famer, Kent Desormeaux will ride aboard Donegal Racing's Keen Ice.  The three-time Kentucky Derby winner hopes to upset the ranks, and re-take his rightful place in the winner's circle as he competes this year at the legendary Churchill Downs Racetrack on May 2, 2015.  Desormeaux has chosen to ride into his destiny on the back of Keen Ice, whose trainer, Dale Romans, has been a longtime friend and supporter of Desormeaux.  The shared camaraderie over the years has teamed Romans and Desormeaux ITM (In the Money) 100 percent, in past Derbies.  It's no wonder the Hall of Fame Jockey selected Keen Ice and his connections over the other stables and horses, and a win is overdue.

Desormeaux has been making headlines since his early riding days as the youngest rider to ever capture 3000 races at the age of 25. The three-time winner of the Eclipse Award for Top Jockey has also won two of three legs of the illustrious Triple Crown already twice in his successful career. With countless accolades to his credit, this Hall of Fame Jockey has a permanent spot in the books as one of the top Jockey's in the world, and remains to be the world record holder of the most wins in one year with 599 wins.
