Kepler Weber Announces the Results of 3Q13
SAO PAULO, Nov. 11, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Kepler Weber S.A. (BM&FBovespa: KEPL3) the controller of the Kepler Weber Group and leading company in the grain storage market announces the results of the third quarter of 2013.
Net revenue
In alignment with what was published in previous quarters the Net Revenue had a significant increase in the 3rd quarter compared to the same period in 2012: +76%, reaching BRL 166.9 million. When compared to the accumulated amount of the year, there was a 56.1% increase in Net Revenue compared to the previous year (BRL 415.2 million in 2013 against BRL 266 million in 2012). The Net Revenue performance in the 2013 reflects an excellent time for the agribusiness market, pushed by an increased demand for storage through loan facilities and by the record-breaking volumes of the harvest. Storage is the most recommended solution and the quickest to implement in order to reduced the logistic bottlenecks currently experienced in the outflow of the grain harvest.
Earnings
The productivity gains, increased volumes and seasonality plateau allowed for a significant increase in the Company´s earnings. Gross Profit reached BRL 52.7 million in 3Q13, +144.6% compared to the same period in 2012.
The increase in earnings was also reflected in the Operating Profit (+258.1%) and Net Profit (+172.2%), which reached BRL 19.8 million (against BRL 7.3 million in 3Q12).
EBITDA
Within this favorable context, and mostly because of robust and consistent revenue throughout the year, EBITDA reached BRL 35.7 million (a 21.4% margin compared to the Net Revenue) against BRL 12.2 million achieved in 3Q12, with a 12.9% margin.
