Key Leadership Additions Announced at CoverXSpecialty, a Member of the Crum & Forster Enterprise

NEW YORK, May 9, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Crum & Forster is pleased to announce three key appointments to its leadership team at CoverXSpecialty, a member of the Crum & Forster Enterprise that specializes in coverage for business with unique risks.

Sam Anderson, a 32-year veteran of the insurance industry, has been named senior vice president of the newly developed Niche Marketing business segment. Anderson most recently served as president of marketing for Colony Specialty after serving in leadership roles at GenStar and Argonaut Specialty. His strengths include Excess and Surplus (E&S) underwriting, distribution management, and production expertise. He will oversee Security, Binding, Life Sciences, Oil and Gas, and Small Business Units for CoverXSpecialty.

Mark St. Aoro, another seasoned veteran of the insurance industry, has been named vice president in a newly created role heading the Analytics Group at CoverXSpecialty, where he will have oversight of R & D, Modeling, Audits and Forms. Previously, he worked at Torus Insurance Company, and has extensive experience in product development initiatives, technical pricing, coverage analysis and strategic planning.

Both individuals will report to Tom Bredahl, chief underwriting officer for First Mercury, which writes policies produced by CoverXSpecialty. "We are excited to have Sam and Mark join our management team," said Bredahl. Steve Dresner joins CoverXSpecialty as vice president, Primary Group Manager, reporting to Mike Kwan, senior vice president of the Primary Department. Dresner is a skilled insurance and reinsurance professional in Property, Casualty, and Professional Lines and has held various leadership roles across more than 30 years in the industry. He comes to CoverXSpecialty from the Global Insurance Distribution team at Endurance Specialty Holdings. Previously, he worked for both Hartford and GenRe Corporation.
