FirstEnergy's Pennsylvania utilities, which include Pennsylvania Electric Company (Penelec), Metropolitan Edison Company (MetEd), Pennsylvania Power Company (Penn Power), and West Penn Power Company, have launched this program to reduce peak demand for electricity, which is a major goal of Pennsylvania's Act 129 of 2008.
