GREENSBURG, Pa., March 12, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- KEYTEX Energy is proud to announce that it has been awarded a contract to take part in FirstEnergy Corporation's Commercial/Industrial Demand Response Program, which will be available from June 1 to September 30, 2012. This program is authorized under Pennsylvania's Act 129 Energy Efficiency and Conservation Program.
FirstEnergy's Pennsylvania utilities, which include Pennsylvania Electric Company (Penelec), Metropolitan Edison Company (MetEd), Pennsylvania Power Company (Penn Power), and West Penn Power Company, have launched this program to reduce peak demand for electricity, which is a major goal of Pennsylvania's Act 129 of 2008.
