NINGBO, China, March 30, 2012 /PRNewswire-Asia-FirstCall/ -- Keyuan Petrochemicals Inc. (OTCQB: KEYP), ("Keyuan" or "the Company"), an independent manufacturer and supplier of various petrochemical products in China, today announced that it filed Form 12b-25 with the Securities and Exchange Commission on March 16, 2012 to extend the filing of the Company's Form 10-K for the year ended December 31, 2011 within the 14-day grace period.
The Company experienced a disruption in its normal closing process and the preparation of its financial statements for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2011 as a result of a significant increase in workload related to the independent investigation and changes in its financial reporting staff. Keyuan expects to announce its full year 2011 financial results on or before April 16th, 2012.
As previously announced, the Company exceeded 2011 revenue and production guidance and expects revenues of $626.7 million and 584,370 MT, respectively.
