Kim Krugman joins Avison Young as Executive Vice-President, Chief Legal Counsel and Director of Human Resource Services
TORONTO, Jan. 10 /PRNewswire/ - Mark E. Rose, Chair and CEO of Avison Young, Canada's largest independently-owned commercial real estate services company, announced today that Kim Krugman has joined Avison Young as Executive Vice-President, Chief Legal Counsel and Director of Human Resource Services. She will be based in the company's Chicago office.
Effective immediately, Krugman will oversee all legal, human resources and risk-management matters for Avison Young. She was most recently Vice-President, Senior Counsel at Grubb & Ellis Company in Chicago.

Over the past two years, Avison Young has grown from 11 to 23 offices and from 300 to more than 700 real estate professionals across Canada and in the U.S.
A Chicago native, Krugman brings to Avison Young 15 years of legal experience. She started her legal career at the law firm Coudert Brothers in San Francisco. She then returned to Chicago, joining law firms Neal, Gerber & Eisenberg and Much Shelist. In 1995, Krugman served a judicial externship with former Chief Judge Terry J. Hatter, Jr. at the United States District Court for the Central District of California. Since 2000, Krugman has been a certified mediator and has done volunteer mediation work for the Center of Conflict Resolution in Chicago. She served at Grubb & Ellis Company from 2006 to 2010.
Krugman holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Arizona State University and earned her Juris Doctor from the SCALE Program at Southwestern University School of Law, where she was on the Dean's List and the Law Review. She was also a Moot Court Honor's Program member and the recipient of several other awards. Krugman is licensed to practice law in the states of California and Illinois.
