MANCHESTER, England July 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Online sportswear retailer Kitbag is launching the new Arsenal shirt for the 2010/2011 season.
The strip, which is a throwback to the classic early 70's design, will be launched by Kitbag on the 29th July. Produced by Nike, it utilizes the sports giants' Dri-Fit technology, designed to keep the wearer dry and comfortable whilst sweating. Nike Dri-Fit moves moisture to a separate fabric layer, away from the skin, where it can evaporate, helping footballers to keep their skin cool and dry. All Nike football shirts are now using this revolutionary new technology.
As well as the new retro home Arsenal shirt, Kitbag have also announced the sale of the Arsenal away kit, which returns to the classic yellow design from the same era. The shirts commemorate the 1971 Double-winning side, which included Arsenal legends like Charlie George, John Radford and George Armstrong.
A spokesperson for Kitbag said: "The football forums are abuzz with opinion on this development. It's clear that a lot of Arsenal fans are very happy with a return to the strip of the glory years. There was a lot of dissatisfaction at the fact that shirts in recent years have had various stripes and motifs impinging on those iconic white sleeves. Many fans feel that this throwback to the strip of old could play a part in Arsenal winning some trophies in the coming season."
The new Arsenal shirt is one of a number of new Premiership shirts being released by Kitbag this month, in time for the new season to kick off in August.
