Kleinschmidt announces new partnership with Tabi Connect, bringing instant, intelligent quoting capabilities to freight brokers.
Now, brokers can automatically apply their own pricing rules to incoming freight opportunities and return quotes in seconds.
DEERFIELD, Ill., Sept. 10, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Kleinschmidt, a provider of B2B integration and supply chain connectivity solutions, today announced a strategic partnership with Tabi Connect to give brokers a faster path from opportunity to response while allowing them to maintain control over how their freight is priced.
Through the partnership, freight quote requests can move through the Kleinschmidt Intelligence Network to Tabi, where each broker's pricing rules and strategy are applied automatically. The completed quote is then returned to the shipper in seconds.
"Speed matters in freight quoting, but so does pricing each opportunity the way you would with unlimited time and resources," said Dan Heinen, President and CEO of Kleinschmidt. "Tabi helps brokers consistently apply their own pricing strategy to every opportunity. Combined with the Kleinschmidt Intelligence Network, it can dramatically shorten the time between receiving a quote request and responding."
Tabi's freight-focused rate management platform captures quote requests from multiple sources and applies company-defined pricing logic based on factors such as customer lane, equipment type, market conditions and other business rules. Its Pricing Logic Engine allows companies to configure their own rules and apply them consistently across quote channels, while maintaining visibility and control over the resulting rates.
"Freight brokerage is more crowded than it's ever been, and margins keep getting thinner, so speed and consistency are what actually separate the brokers who win from the ones who don't," said Ricky Gonzalez, CEO of Tabi Connect. "With Kleinschmidt's network feeding opportunities straight into Tabi, a broker can have a quote back before their competitor has even opened the email or logged in to see what freight is available. That's the growth engine. And because every quote runs through the same pricing logic, brokers get the data to deploy a markup and pricing strategy across their whole team, instead of leaving it up to whoever grabs the opportunity first."
Growing an Industry Network
Over the past 18 months, Kleinschmidt has expanded its capabilities through acquisitions and strategic partnerships. The Tabi partnership is the latest expansion of the capabilities available through Kleinschmidt and its network, helping customers get more value from the connections and data already supporting their day-to-day business.
A previous acquisition of FSI added document conversion and portal tools that bring trading partners without traditional EDI or API capabilities into automated digital workflows. The acquisition of eBase Solutions broadened Kleinschmidt's integration expertise beyond external trading partner connectivity to include enterprise systems, applications, and data flows.
Kleinschmidt has also invested in and partnered with Upwell, enabling carriers to route freight invoice data already moving through the Kleinschmidt network into automated audit, billing, and payment workflows. Other strategic relationships, including Kleinschmidt's partnership with meshVI for real-time insurance monitoring and verification, add specialized capabilities that address additional processes surrounding the movement of freight.
"Our customers already rely on Kleinschmidt to connect them with the companies and systems they do business with every day," Heinen said. "We continue to look for ways to make those connections more valuable, bringing together the right technologies and partners to help customers automate more work, respond to opportunities faster and get more from the data already moving through their business."
Providing Data to Make Better Decisions
The Kleinschmidt Intelligence Network™ connects shippers, brokers, carriers, and the systems they use to do business. Transactions moving across those connections, including quote requests, load tenders, shipment updates and invoices, also carry real-time signals about the movement of freight.
The Tabi partnership creates another way for customers to act on those signals.
It also complements Capacity IQ, Kleinschmidt's predictive freight-capacity solution. Available capacity can influence both the price of a load and the ability to cover it. Capacity IQ uses network data to predict where carrier capacity is likely to become available, while Tabi helps brokers apply their pricing strategy and respond to incoming freight opportunities.
Together, these capabilities support two closely related freight lifecycle decisions: how to price an opportunity and, once the quote is accepted, how to secure the capacity to move it. Capacity IQ helps brokers and shippers identify carriers likely to have available equipment in the right place at the right time by using predictive signals already flowing through the Kleinschmidt Intelligence Network.
"Intelligence starts with connection," Heinen added. "When companies, systems and partners can communicate seamlessly, there are more opportunities to automate work, make better-informed decisions and act faster. We see tremendous potential to continue expanding the value customers receive from being connected to the Kleinschmidt Intelligence Network."
