Knight Appoints Peter J. Hoffman As Senior Managing Director, Institutional Client Development
JERSEY CITY, N.J., Jan. 5, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Knight Capital Group, Inc. (NYSE Euronext: KCG) today announced the appointment of Peter J. Hoffman as Senior Managing Director, Institutional Client Development with responsibility for cultivating institutional client relationships and coordinating sales of institutional products and services. Mr. Hoffman will report to Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Tom Joyce and join the firm's executive committee.

Peter Hoffman, Senior Managing Director, Institutional Client Development is responsible for overseeing the firm's relationships with institutional clients.
Mr. Hoffman is a former Managing Director at Merrill Lynch in the Investor Client Coverage Group where he managed the firm's relationships across product and service teams with key institutional clients. Prior to that, he held several senior positions in the firm's Equity Division including Head of Americas Equity Sales, leading a team which covered institutional clients in North and South America. In all, Peter spent 24 years at Merrill Lynch starting in the Equity Capital Markets Group.
Mr. Hoffman has a bachelor of science from Union College and a master of business administration from Columbia Business School.
