Knight Named One of the Best Places to Work in New Jersey by NJBIZ

JERSEY CITY, N.J., April 27, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Knight Capital Group, Inc. (NYSE Euronext: KCG) today announced that it was named one of the Best Places to Work in New Jersey according to NJBIZ.

The annual survey and award program identifies, recognizes and honors the top places of employment in New Jersey that benefit the state's economy, its workforce and businesses. Knight was named 29th of the Best Places to Work in New Jersey among firms with 250 or more employees.

Knight had 1,418 total employees as of March 31, 2012, of which 810 work in New Jersey. Knight was founded in 1995 in Jersey City, NJ, the company's headquarters.

Companies from across the state entered the two-part process to determine the 100 Best Places to Work in New Jersey. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company's workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. This phase was worth approximately 25% of the total evaluation. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. This phase was worth approximately 75% of the total evaluation. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking. The Best Places to Work in New Jersey program is made up of 100 companies split into two groups: 52 small/medium-sized companies (15-249 employees) and 48 large-sized companies (more than 250 employees).

The overall registration and survey process was managed by Best Companies Group (BCG).  BCG also analyzed the data provided and used their expertise to determine the final rankings.

The award program, created in 2005, is produced by NJBIZ weekly business journal. NJBIZ, program sponsors and partners honored this year's 100 Best Places to Work and announced their rankings during an awards dinner and ceremony Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at the Hilton East Brunswick. The program sponsors were Gibbons, P.C. and Novo Nordisk. The program is in partnership with Garden State Council SHRM, The New Jersey State Chamber, Employers Association of New Jersey and the New Jersey Economic Development Authority.
