NEW YORK, Sept. 12, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, KnitWell Group, a leading multi-brand retail company that includes Ann Taylor, Chico's, Haven Well Within, Lane Bryant, LOFT, SOMA, Talbots and White House Black Market, announced the return of its successful "Sisterhood of Strength" campaign in support of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF). Since the partnership began in 2005, KnitWell Group and its customers have collectively raised more than $74 million for BCRF.
"We are so proud of our partnership with BCRF and the Sisterhood of Strength campaign is a shining example of how our brands, associates and customers show up to support women and in particular women's health," said Lizanne Kindler, Executive Chair and Chief Executive Officer of KnitWell Group. "We have all been touched in some way by breast cancer and we believe that by growing our sisterhood of support for BCRF, we will see an end to the disease in our lifetime."
With the Sisterhood of Strength, all eight KnitWell brands will come together again to support BCRF by providing unique ways for their 20 million active customers and 45,000 associates to join their sisterhood and support vital breast cancer research. Customers will have the opportunity to donate in store and online, purchase a brand specific Cares Card. With each Cares Card purchase, a percentage of the purchase price will be donated directly to BCRF, and customers will receive a discount on their purchase. At select stores customers will have the opportunity to purchase a limited-edition BCRF product with a percentage of the purchase price going towards the fight against breast cancer.
This year, brands will host tailored in-store events called "Pink Day" on Saturday, October 4, with brands collectively matching up to $125,000 in donations made in stores and online across select brands to help make an even larger impact. Customers also have the opportunity to participate through "Shop for a Cause" events where select brands will donate a percentage of day-long-in store and online sales.
"BCRF's long-standing partnership with KnitWell Group is a powerful example of what happens when you lead with purpose and compassion. Over the past 21 years, this partnership has helped fund breakthrough breast cancer research-including cutting edge treatments to prevent the disease from taking root or from coming back," said Donna McKay, President & Chief Executive Officer of BCRF. "We are so grateful to KnitWell Group, their associates, and their customers. Together, we are moving closer to a future without breast cancer."
The Sisterhood of Strength campaign will kick off in mid-September and run through October 31.
