NEW YORK, Sept. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, KnitWell Group, a leading multi-brand retail company that includes Ann Taylor, Chico's, Haven Well Within, Lane Bryant, LOFT, Soma, Talbots and White House Black Market, announced the return of its Sisterhood of Strength campaign, with an ambitious goal to reach $100 million in fundraising by 2030 for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF).
Since the partnership began in 2005, the brands, associates, and customers have together raised more than $80 million for BCRF. Now, through the collective power of its eight brands, 45,000 associates and more than 20 million active customers, KnitWell Group is expanding that legacy.
"Our goal to reach $100 million by 2030 is bold, but so is our unwavering belief that sustained investment in groundbreaking research leads to better outcomes for women," noted Lizanne Kindler, Executive Chair and CEO of KnitWell Group. "Our brands have rallied behind BCRF and the women and families affected by breast cancer, transforming hope into progress. I am deeply proud of how far we have come, but even more inspired by what is ahead: a future where more women can live free from the fear of breast cancer."
Rooted in the emotional and personal stories of women impacted by breast cancer, the Sisterhood of Strength campaign honors vulnerability, resilience, and hope while shining a light on the research milestones that have fundamentally changed the trajectory of the disease. From earlier detection and more personalized treatments to advances in prevention, survivorship, and metastatic disease, research has transformed what is possible for women and families facing a diagnosis. The KnitWell Group Fund for Prevention, in partnership with BCRF, is helping to make this research possible.
At the heart of the Sisterhood of Strength campaign are women whose experiences with breast cancer show the many forms resilience can take and how much stronger we are when we face it together. This year's campaign features breast cancer thrivers sharing their experiences with diagnosis and treatment, the support that carried them through their most difficult moments and the advice they would offer others facing a similar path. Together, their stories capture what the Sisterhood of Strength campaign is all about: women showing up for one another.
Among the women featured in the 2026 campaign is TV personality Katie Thurston, who was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer at 34. Throughout treatment, Katie has used her platform to foster connection among women in the community. "Unless you've experienced it, a cancer diagnosis is hard to relate to," said Katie. "Being able to lean on others who have similar experiences is instrumental."
The Sisterhood of Strength campaign also reflects the unique ways each KnitWell brand is showing up for women's health and BCRF, from powerful storytelling to opportunities for customers to give back in stores and online. Across the brands, customers will be invited to donate at checkout, participate in Shop for a Cause events, purchase brand-specific Cares Cards or limited-edition products benefiting BCRF.
On Saturday, October 3, the brands will come together for Pink Day, a day designed to turn awareness into impact. Up to $150,000 in donations will be matched in stores and online across select brands, amplifying the collective generosity of customers and associates across the country. The campaign will also feature brand-led moments that make it easy for customers to participate in ways that feel most meaningful to them, whether through giving, shopping with purpose or sharing the message of strength in numbers.

"We are incredibly grateful to KnitWell Group, its brands, and the millions of customers who have stood alongside BCRF for more than two decades," said Donna McKay, President and Chief Executive Officer of BCRF. "Their extraordinary commitment has helped fuel research that is changing what's possible for those facing breast cancer. Sisterhood of Strength is a powerful reflection of what we can accomplish together."
The campaign will kick off in mid-September and run through October 31.
