Koality Featured At Start-Up Launch Event During AWS re:Invent 2013
Koality Showcased as One of Five Innovative New Start-Ups Leveraging the Power of Amazon Web Services' Amazon EC2
SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 14, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Koality (pronounced "quality") announced today that it has been selected by Amazon Web Services (AWS) as one of five AWS-powered start-ups helping to define the next generation of cloud services. Koality will be featured at the second annual Start-Up Launch presentation on Thursday, Nov. 14, during AWS re:Invent 2013, Amazon Web Services' global technical conference in Las Vegas. The session will be hosted by Amazon CTO Dr. Werner Vogels.
Koality, recently launched, offers a software testing platform for growth and enterprise companies that can dramatically increase developer productivity. The platform, powered by Amazon EC2, allows engineers to test their code in a production-like environment before it's distributed to the project repository and shared with the development team.
Virtual machines, assembled automatically by Koality, simulate the production environment to ensure accurate testing—and because tests are distributed to machines using dynamic scaling, entire test suites can run in minutes. Koality's Amazon EC2-based parallelization technology not only increases test speeds by up to 64 times, making it practical for pre-push testing, but also is deployed completely behind the engineering team's firewall to ensure project security.
"Koality brings real productivity improvement to the development process and has the potential to positively impact a wide range of engineering organizations," said Werner Vogels, Amazon CTO. "We're pleased to include Jonathan Chu and Koality in our second annual Start-up Launch presentation as an example of the innovations made possible by AWS."
During AWS' Start-Up Launch session, Jonathan Chu, CEO of Koality, will explain to the audience of tech industry decision-makers how Koality went from idea to launch. He will also answer questions about the company and its services.
"Being recognized at AWS re:Invent 2013 by AWS speaks not only to the breakthrough Koality is offering, but also to the unlimited potential of cloud computing to solve challenges facing modern development organizations," said Chu. "This is an amazing honor for our new company. We look forward to presenting our story to the computing industry's brightest and most forward-thinking professionals."
The one-hour Start-Up Launch presentation will be held Nov. 14 at 4:15 PM in Marcello 4406 of the Venetian Hotel and Conference Center in Las Vegas. AWS re:Invent 2013 takes place Nov. 12-15, 2013.
