Kozio Names Clint Ostrander as Chief Executive Officer and President
Positioning Kozio for Next Level of Success
LONGMONT, Colo., May 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Kozio, Inc. (www.kozio.com), the trusted technology leader for enabling the fastest path to reliable hardware for embedded designs through in-system diagnostics, today announced that its board of directors has named Clint Ostrander to serve as the company's chief executive officer and president.
Joe Skazinski, Kozio's Chairman of the Board and Co-Founder, said that the Kozio's board unanimously selected Mr. Ostrander based on his fit with Kozio, his vast experience with multiple technology industries, and growing a technology company from startup to liquidity.
"Our search for a leader that will take Kozio to the next level of success has been focused and very thorough," said Mr. Skazinski, "We used a multi-step process with a screening team of board members, advisors, executive staff members, and consultants who then interviewed a broad field of excellent candidates. We then selected Clint as the candidate who best fit our business needs to significantly grow Kozio to the next level of success."
"Clint came to our attention based on his proven ability to identify market opportunities and grow successful organizations that solve key customer problems," continued Mr. Skazinski. "His strong leadership skills and ability to promote a positive corporate culture was of key interest to us. He demonstrated these skills through his successful involvement in over 20 start-ups, including Medical Devices, Instrumentation, Homeland Security, Aerospace, Semiconductor, and Consumer Products."
"Kozio has significant opportunity for growth because of their existing technology, satisfied customers and excellent team," stated Mr. Ostrander. "During my research on Kozio, I became extremely interested about the prospect of leading an organization that delivers unprecedented in-systems test and diagnostic solutions."
"Throughout my years of managing engineering organizations, many of the boards developed for our products had extremely complex embedded systems." Mr. Ostrander continued, "The unpredictable test lead times were a constant source of concern, both from the associated delays in release dates and the potential for field failures resulting from inadequate or unreliable test data. I saw a significant need for comprehensive and reliable test procedures performed in a standardized manner and in a predictable time period. After seeing the solution that addresses those exact customer needs, I am confident that as a team, we will achieve even greater success in the future."
He succeeds Joe Skazinski, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer since 2003. Mr. Skazinski has been appointed the chief business development officer for Kozio, Inc. He will remain as CBDO and continue to serve as Kozio's Chairman of the Board.
Before joining Kozio, Mr. Ostrander was the Founder and CEO of Trace Analytical. Trace was a supplier of very high performance gas analyzers for demanding environmental, semiconductor, and petrochemical markets. He successfully sold the company to Seas Getters in 1998. Mr. Ostrander continued to grow his experience in managing very successful software and hardware engineering organizations related to printed circuit board design. He has managed several diverse engineering organizations in complex multi-disciplinary projects. He has twice been an adviser to the US Space Shuttle program, is the author of over 30 scientific and technical publications, and an invited guest lecturer at various industrial and scientific forums.
