Kraton Will Host Technical Seminar at the China Adhesive Expo to Announce NEW Kraton™ HT1200 - Soft SIS for Adhesive Applications
HOUSTON, Sept. 15, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Kraton Performance Polymers, Inc. (NYSE: KRA), a leading global producer of styrenic block copolymers and other engineered polymers will host a technical seminar at the 16th China International Adhesives and Sealants Exhibition, September 25-27, in Guangzhou, China. Dr. Lily Yang, Senior Scientist with Kraton Polymers will be delivering a technical presentation on the new SIS polymer, Kraton™ HT1200 for hot melt and solvent based adhesive applications. The presentation is scheduled for Thursday, September 26th at Guangzhou Poly World Trade Center in Pavilion #5 (near meeting room E), 3:00pm to 4:00 pm.
Dr. Yang, will discuss how the technology is unique in part because it is a highly branched (more than 10 arms) star polymer and offers the lowest PSC of the Kraton SIS product line. The performance attributes of Kraton™ HT1200 include: excellent solvent resistance in crosslink systems, good adhesive properties, high tack, and resistance to higher temperatures compared to other SIS copolymers. Potential applications for this new polymer include: specialty tapes and labels, co-extrudable adhesive films, soft printing plates and flexible contact adhesives.
