Kutak Rock Lands Prominent Appellate, Class Action Lawyer

DENVER, Nov. 10, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Kutak Rock LLP is pleased to announce that Marie E. Williams has joined its litigation practice.  Williams, whose arrival further bolsters Kutak Rock's bench strength, will work with the firm's nearly 170 litigators nationwide.  She will be resident in Kutak Rock's Denver office.

Williams joins Kutak Rock from Faegre Baker Daniels, where she was a partner in its litigation department.  She brings to Kutak Rock more than 16 years of experience both advocating for clients on appeal, and defending clients against class actions and other complex commercial litigation.  Williams also has extensive experience representing clients in the financial services industry and handling insurance coverage matters.  For longer than a decade, Williams has successfully defended one of the largest automobile insurers against numerous class action and individual cases alleging policy breaches and statutory violations, and seeking unlimited insurance benefits.

Williams received her B.S. in mathematics, magna cum laude, from Wake Forest University, and earned her J.D. from the University of Colorado Law School, Order of the Coif.  She is admitted to practice in Colorado state courts, the United States Supreme Court, the United States Courts of Appeal for the Seventh, Eighth, Ninth and Tenth Circuits, and the United States District Court for the District of Colorado.
