La Cantera Hill Country Resort Unveils New Look & Extensive New Amenities

SAN ANTONIO, Feb. 23, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- La Cantera Hill Country Resort, managed by Destination Hotels, is readying for reopening after its multi-million dollar transformation. The 550-acre resort, which suspended overnight guest accommodations in November of 2014, will welcome back guests in April, with dramatic enhancements throughout the resort.

The resort, located on one of the highest points of the city, will maintain its breathtaking, one-of-a-kind views. Plaza San Saba, the resort's courtyard centerpiece, will feature lush landscaped terraces amidst inspiring natural settings. The new Esparza lawn, will create a picturesque backdrop for events and weddings. Both the resort and adult pools have been completely redesigned and will feature expanded seating, private cabanas, dedicated food and beverage options with sweeping Hill Country views.

The resort's restaurants and bars will be completely revamped to create culinary discoveries for every palate. Sire Bar will serve thoughtfully curated cocktails, while guests can enjoy charcuterie offerings and other small plates from Bocado. SweetFire Kitchen, the resort's primary restaurant with an exhibition kitchen, will feature private dining rooms and al fresco dining overlooking Plaza San Saba. Primero Cantina, adjacent to the resort pool, will offer exciting, fresh Tex-American creations in a vibrant, upscale environment anchored by an indoor/outdoor bar.

The new 10,000 square foot La Cantera Ballroom and additional meeting space will bring the resort's total event space to 115,000 square feet. The ballroom and redesigned event areas will provide unparalleled venues for any size or type of meeting or group gathering.
