L.A. Creamery Introduces Dom Perignon Sorbet
Angelenos can now serve Dom Perignon Sorbet at their New Year's Eve party at $25 a pint which is made daily in small batches by L.A. Creamery
Artisanal ice cream flavors range from redefined classics to avant garde, made from scratch using organic, locally sourced ingredients
CANOGA PARK, Calif., Dec. 27, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- L.A. Creamery introduces Angelenos to Dom Perignon Sorbet for New Year's Eve celebrations made with Dom Perignon 2002 Vintage. The sorbet will be sold at L.A. Creamery for $9 per single scoop or $25 a pint. It is also available for delivery in the Los Angeles area with a 1 pint minimum.
L.A. Creamery is a brand-new style of ice cream parlor which opened in November 2010 at the Westfield Topanga located in Canoga Park. With 12 rotating flavors, guests can enjoy a mix of redefined favorites, out-of-the-box, and a full bar of "adults only" options such as Jack Daniel's Ice Cream, Milk Chocolate Guinness and Dark Chocolate Kahlua—all made from scratch on site by Chef Jessica Goryl. In addition to an unconventional menu, the ice cream boutique sets a modern tone with its sleek design and a focus on sustainable, high-quality ingredients—L.A. Creamery is the only ice cream shop in Los Angeles to source organic dairy from Straus Family Creamery.
Creations from Goryl, a former pastry chef at such top local restaurants as BLT Steak and Cafe del Rey, include reinterpreted classics such as Brown Butter Pecan and Rocky Road with Valrhona Chocolate ice cream filled with Roasted Almonds and Handmade Marshmallow, and out-of-the-box flavors such as Keylime Pie, Roasted Banana & Peanut Butter Crunch, and Caramelized Honey & Blue Cheese.
L.A. Creamery's look deviates from the pastel color scheme and retro decor of many ice cream shops, boasting a modern atmosphere and elegant design. Kelly Architects—the team responsible for designing such L.A. hot spots as Pizzeria and Osteria Mozza, Edison Bar, and the Tar Pit—used a combination of sleek and textured materials to represent the diverse Los Angeles population from young Hollywood trendsetters to easygoing beach-goers. Staff will look effortlessly chic dressed in dark blue 501 jeans and black cotton T-shirts.
L.A. Creamery is located on the first level of the Westfield Topanga adjacent to Nordstrom and is open Monday-Saturday 10 a.m.-9 p.m., and Sunday 11 a.m.-7 p.m. For additional information, please call 818-340-CONE or visit L.A. Creamery online at www.lacreamery.com or on Facebook or Twitter.
