Ladies, "Own your Strong" -- First Obstacle Course Designed for Women to Encourage Teamwork, Willpower and Strength

BROOKLYN, N.Y., June 10, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Mudderella announced today a new category in women's athletic events. Mudderella was created by women for women, and encourages women to Own Your Strong. Participants will test stamina, willpower and strength by completing a 5-7 miles long course featuring 12-15 obstacles. Mudderella events are not timed, it's about people coming together to overcome obstacles and have fun at the same time.

Launching in various locations across the U.S., Mudderella registration is now open for their inaugural event on Saturday, September 21, 2013 in Tamiment, Pennsylvania in the Poconos. The event organizers encourage participants to take on a challenge and get outside for a high-energy, daylong experience to be shared with like-minded, strong, fun women.

The day begins with Stretch + Strengthen, preparing participants with a warm-up and pump-up. Mudderella has partnered with Strongbow Hard Cider and LUNA®; when crossing the finish line, participants will receive a Mudderella sport band, a LUNA® bar, and a cold Strongbow Hard Cider to cheers with your friends. Participants can then spend time after they complete the course at Rinse + Revive, which includes showers, food, music and entertainment.

Mudderella obstacles are designed to encourage teamwork and all around fitness. Obstacles include Hat Trick where you trampoline onto a cargo net, climb up 15 feet and shoot down a slippery slide into a muddy pool; it's three obstacles in one that tests agility, strength and fearlessness. Another new obstacle is Wheels in Motion, where you swing from tire to tire to make it over a pool of water below – timing and balance are key here. Bangles and Dangles adds a little pizazz to your standard monkey bars – the bars hang from ropes, so you must use your core to conquer this full body workout. Testing your speed and balance, On the Ball is a series of stability balls that you must run across without falling.

Mudderella promotes individuals coming together to overcome obstacles and have fun at the same time.
