LaGrangeville, NY Family Kicks Off Holiday Season With Guinness World Record Attempt Featuring Over-The-Top Light Display
LAGRANGEVILLE, N.Y., Nov. 26, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The Gay Family is on a mission to bring the Guinness World Record for "Most Lights on a Residential Property" back to the United States. The 2012 record holders, Tim Gay, along with his wife, Grace, and children, Emily, Daniel and John, have been decorating their home with an elaborate holiday light display for almost 20 years. But, in 2013, the Gays were bested by the Richards family of Canberra, Australia with 502,165 lights – nearly 100,000 more lights than the Gay's previous record.
Now, it's time to bring the record back home! On Black Friday, the Gay Family will be flipping the switch on this year's light display and begin their quest for the coveted world record.
To help support the Gay family's attempt to top the existing record, RITZ Crackers is providing a scenic holiday light installation that will be incorporated into the family's annual display. The lighting ceremony will feature hundreds of spectators and make for a fun seasonal event. Festivities are set to kick off at 4:30 p.m. EST on Friday, November 28, 2014. Please reach out for additional information or media opportunities.
