Laguna College of Art and Design Partners with Project Gado to Bring the Rex and Joan Irving Brandt Papers to Getty Images

LAGUNA BEACH, Calif., Oct. 13, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Laguna College of Art and Design (LCAD), the West Coast's top fine art college, announced with Project Gado that 1,000 pages of material from The Rex and Joan Irving Brandt Papers are now available on Getty Images. California Watercolorist Rex Brandt kept sketchbooks, photographs and archival materials that can now be viewed at: http://bit.ly/rexbrandtlcadgado.

In 1962, Brandt was involved in designing the first two college art studios for what was then Laguna Beach School of Art (today known as LCAD). Joan Scarboro and Shelley Walker, daughters of Brandt, donated the archive to the collections of the Dennis and Leslie Power Library in 2011.
