North Bay travelers flying out of SFO on United, Alaska, Hawaiian, American or JetBlue can check bags and clear TSA security at Sonoma County Airport, then ride directly to the secure side of SFO
SANTA ROSA, Calif., Oct. 12, 2026/PRNewswire/ -- Landline, Charles M. Schulz - Sonoma County Airport (STS) and San Francisco International Airport (SFO) today announced Straight to Gate, a new service that lets travelers flying out of SFO start their trip at STS, with check-in, bags and security already behind them.
Starting Nov. 17, passengers flying United, Alaska, Hawaiian, American or JetBlue out of SFO can check in, drop their bags and clear TSA security at STS, then board a secure coach that drives nonstop to the SFO airfield. From there they walk into the terminal to their gate without clearing security again, and their bags are transferred to their flight. Landline coaches have extra-legroom leather seats in a 2x1 layout, Starlink Wi-Fi, power at every seat and an onboard restroom, and are wheelchair accessible.
For the trip home, travelers arriving at SFO on any airline can ride Landline nonstop back to STS. Coaches pick up at the curb outside baggage claim at every SFO terminal, including International.
Service begins Nov. 17 with eight daily round trips. Coaches leave STS at 5, 7, 9 and 11 a.m. and 1, 3, 5:30 and 8 p.m., with return trips leaving SFO from about 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. One-way fares are $55 per adult, and children 15 and under ride free with a paying adult. Reservations are open now at sfo.landline.com, where travelers enter their SFO flight and the booking tool recommends the right coach departure time.
"People love traveling. What they don't love is everything it takes to get to the airport," said David Sunde, Founder and CEO, Landline. "Sonoma County already has a great local airport. Straight to Gate connects it to SFO's global network, so trips to anywhere in the world can start close to home. We're launching with United, Alaska, Hawaiian, American and JetBlue, and we'll be adding more airlines in the coming months."
"STS is widely regarded as the most convenient airport option in the Bay Area," said Jon Stout, Airport Manager, Charles M. Schulz - Sonoma County Airport. "Landline extends that convenience by offering our travelers an incredible array of domestic and international options while still maintaining the STS experience they know and love."
"We are excited to welcome Landline service from Sonoma County Airport to SFO," said SFO Airport Director Mike Nakornkhet. "Our goal is to create a seamless travel experience for our guests, and this new service provides the most direct access to our terminals, making a connection to SFO easier than ever before. We welcome this new option from Landline and expect it will be a success."
Straight to Gate: Sonoma County to SFO builds on the operating model Massport pioneered at the Logan Airport Remote Terminal in Framingham, Mass., where travelers on multiple airlines check in and clear security in the Boston suburbs before riding to Boston Logan International Airport, through a partnership with Landline.
