Cannabidiol (CBD) was made legal to sell and use recreationally in California in 2018. Derived from industrial hemp CBD contains no psychoactive ingredients. CBD affects the endocannabinoid system which regulates functions in the central nervous system like responding to pain, fighting inflammation and managing the immune system.
