Monumental Numbers, Records and Accolades Accentuate 2010 for Largest Local US Site
DENVER, Dec. 29, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- In a remarkable year of growth, accolades and milestones, Examiner.com, the insider source for local, closes out 2010 setting a record for its highest number of monthly unique visitors to date with 22.4 million in November. The site also added its one-millionth article of the year in December, increasing its archive to a staggering 1.8 million pieces of original content.
Just over two and a half years old, they also set a record for total page views in November with 63.1 million, measured by trusted third-party tracking software Omniture. Additionally, comScore, an independent source of digital analytics, cited that Examiner.com's traffic grew 19% in November over the previous month, placing it as the 83rd largest domain in the United States; and Examiner.com Sites 7th in the General News subcategory, ahead of FoxNews.com, BBC News, USAToday.com, NBC Local Media and other recognized brands. comScore also named Examiner.com one of the fastest growing sites in the country this past April.
