According to Jessie Yamzon, Head of IT Network Planning and Management Group, ABS-CBN, the need for a ubiquitous wireless Internet solution grew from the need to enable the news and public affairs and its corporate department to send VoIP, video and data anywhere, anytime without compromising quality and availability.

To meet ABS-CBN's requirements, Ruckus Wireless' unparalleled Wi-Fi technology performance was selected to support VoIP, video and data applications indoors.  Outdoor units have also been deployed to provide reliable broadband access through the use of adaptive wireless meshing.
