Largest-Ever DistribuTECH Attracts 11,773 Attendees

SAN DIEGO, Feb. 9, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- PennWell Corp.'s DistribuTECH Conference & Exhibition with sister events Utility Products Expo and the Electric Light & Power Executive Conference together drew 11,773 attendees for a record-shattering 25th anniversary event.

DistribuTECH Conference and Exhibition is the utility industry's leading annual transmission and distribution event, covering automation and control systems, energy efficiency, demand response, renewable energy integration, advanced metering, T&D system operation and reliability, power delivery equipment, commercial and industrial energy management technology and water utility technology.

DistribuTECH kicked off Tuesday, Feb. 3 with an opening keynote session emceed by POWERGRID International Editor in Chief and DistribuTECH Chairwoman Teresa Hansen. The keynote featured presentations from theoretical physicist Michio Kaku; San Diego Gas & Electric CEO Jeffrey Martin; and Edison International Chairman, President and CEO Theodore "Ted" F. Craver Jr. The standing room-only keynote drew an audience of more than 2,500 and set the stage for the three-day event that attracted representatives from more than 300 utilities worldwide.
