LAS VEGAS, June 26, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Nelson De La Nuez was born in Havana, but Made in America... the internationally renowned pop artist known as the King of Pop Art will be personally appearing for an exciting solo show appropriately titled, Made in America in Caesars Palace at SKYE Gallery. The gallery is hosting his Made in America themed reception on Saturday, July 1st, 4th of July weekend, from 7-10pm for the artist complete with artistic pastries, showgirls, champagne and more.

The show's title reflects the fact that the artist came to the US at the age of 7 with his family, literally with nothing and revealed his talents over time, meticulously perfecting his craft. He had an incredibly strong work ethic and the belief that anything was possible with talent and hard work. The humble beginnings of such a now world-renowned artist have kept him grounded and always creating, always reinventing, always working. No one handed him anything. He came to the US and was fascinated and immersed in everything American pop culture--advertising, magazines, tv shows, commercials, cars, because it was all so different than in Cuba and so readily available. In his own words, he "never settles and is never satisfied...always reaching for the next thing to better himself and his craft."

The innovative, pop art gallery, Skye Art Gallery, is located in the sophisticated Forum Shops in Caesars Palace on the 3rd Floor next to the trendy shops and restaurants like Sushi Roku. Vanessa and Elena Skye took great care when they opened the gallery to do things differently than the rest. They believe that "Las Vegas is an oasis of entertainment; anything is possible in Vegas." They wanted the gallery to reflect the spirit of Las Vegas and true innovation, showing "fine art pop art" with the best artists they could imagine in one gallery space. They were recently voted in the Top 2 of the most popular, best galleries on the strip, so the people have spoken loud and clear and SKYE is only on its second year.
De La Nuez will be presenting many brand new paintings at this show, never before seen. He will be personally attending from 7-10pm to meet collectors and sign purchases. He has clients flying in from around the country just to meet him and some celebrity collectors possibly attending the event to try and snag a new one of a kind De La Nuez painting. Show continues through July. "We always try to have something unique and special that you can only find here at SKYE. The artist can also create custom thought bubbles on the large "bubble" paintings, like the one he did for Kim Kardashian's Shoedazzle company. People love customizing if only just a bit. It makes it so unique for them or their company," Vanessa explains.
