Laser Northeast Gathering Co. Statement Regarding May 19, 2011 PA Public Utility Commission Ruling

CLARK SUMMIT, Pa., May 19, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Today the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission ("PUC") rendered a decision finding that Laser's proposed natural gas pipeline service in Pennsylvania is public utility service. In doing so, the PUC majority cited a long line of cases where the PUC and courts have found such service to be public utility service, and agreed with the joint position of Laser, the PUC Office of Trial Staff, and all landowner interveners on that issue. The PUC then remanded the matter to the Judge for a determination of some additional questions which Laser expects to answer satisfactorily.

The PUC will issue a written decision reflecting today's outcome and the matter will then be assigned to the Judge to schedule the remanded questions.
