LASIK Practice Diamond Vision Opens New Location in Tucker, Georgia

TUCKER, Ga., April 7, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Diamond Vision, a LASIK and laser vision correction practice based in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut, recently announced its decision to open a new office in Tucker, Georgia. Led by Dr. Steven Stetson, Diamond Vision will continue to offer services such as CustomVue, Visian ICL, cataract surgery, and lasik in Atlanta.

Before coming on board with Diamond Vision, Dr. Steven Stetson served as the Chief of Ophthalmology and Medical Director of the Air Force's prestigious Air Force Academy Laser Eye Clinic. Under Dr. Stetson's guidance, the Air Force Academy Laser Eye Clinic achieved the best surgery results among its six centers. Dr. Stetson was quickly recognized for his superior customer satisfaction and quality work.

Dr. Stetson was a pioneer in his field and his work played a critical role in bringing changes to the Air Force's regulations. These changes were made based on Dr. Stetson's performance during the first LASIK procedure on one of the Air Force's active duty members, a four-star general who headed the US Space Command. Now, LASIK can be performed on USAF active duty personnel.

Dr. Stetson's medical career began upon his Cum Laude graduation from New York's Colgate University. He went on to earn a MD degree—with honors—through the University of Vermont's College of Medicine. Dr. Stetson showed his talents during his residency at the Albany Medical Center, where he went on to obtain the highest score on the Ophthalmology Knowledge Assessment Examination.

To date, Dr. Stetson has performed more than 50,000 refractive surgeries. He has been a part of Diamond Vision's staff since 2004 and stepped up as Medical Director in 2006. He regularly consults with Diamond Vision's patients interested in lasik eye surgery in Atlanta.
