Last Chance for Wisconsin Families to Enroll in Wisconsin Connections Academy for 2019-2020 School Year
Three weeks remain in open enrollment period to register 4K-12 students in virtual school
APPLETON, Wis., April 9, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- The 2019-2020 school year is fast approaching and open enrollment for Wisconsin Connections Academy, one of the state's first full-time, 4K-12 tuition-free online public schools, will close on Tuesday, April 30th at 4:00PM CST. For those seeking a more personalized, flexible learning environment, families are required to complete an Open Enrollment Application via the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction if they are enrolling a student in a school outside their resident district.
New this year, Wisconsin Connections Academy is offering a four-year-old kindergarten (4K) program to jumpstart early learning. Aligned to the Wisconsin Model Early Learning Standards (WMELS) and Common Core State Standards for kindergarten, the 4K program offers play-based learning opportunities to stimulate exploration before students enter kindergarten.

To enroll, families should gather the following state-required documents that will be uploaded online during the enrollment process:
- Date of Birth Affidavit Form
- Proof of Residence (e.g. utility bill, driver's license, W-2 showing home address)
- Academic Records (e.g. unofficial transcript, report card)
