Launch Learning Group Helps Metro Detroit Insurance Careers Take Off
Bizdom U graduates launch new training company to help professionals pass state insurance licensing exams the first time with innovative learning techniques.
DETROIT, Jan. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- In an effort to boost licensing exam scores and open doors for prospective insurance agents in Michigan, Launch Learning Group (www.launchlg.com) today announced the opening of its Detroit-based business. The Launch Learning Group (LLG), specializes in innovative preparatory courses that assist individuals in successfully completing their state insurance licensing exams, a requirement to sell insurance or receive commissions in the State of Michigan. LLG is now accepting applications for its first life and health insurance class that begins on Feb. 15, 2010.
"The state's first-time passing rate is about 50 percent, which is a reflection on the large class sizes and ineffective lecture-based teaching methods," said Roger Williams, CEO of Launch Learning Group. "LLG offers prospective insurance agents a fresh alternative to the industry's existing preparatory classes. Our classes are interactive, taught by enthusiastic instructors and have a maximum capacity of 40 students, creating a recipe for success for this vital industry in our state."
LLG is the creation of Roger Williams and Antonella Solomon, two entrepreneurs with backgrounds in education and insurance. Noticing the high failure rate for current licensing courses, they cultivated their ideas to improve statewide results through Bizdom U, the Detroit-based entrepreneurial boot camp founded by Dan Gilbert. Through Bizdom U's unique, hands-on approach to educating entrepreneurs, Williams and Solomon were able to combine their experiences with Bizdom's dynamic learning style to create an effective curriculum.
Launch Learning Group's pre-licensing courses are state certified by the Office of Financial and Insurance Regulation and taught by experienced and licensed trainers. The courses are infused with technology and use competitive games, animated videos and proven test-taking strategies that appeal to adult learning styles. Courses are taught in a one-week module from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. in Detroit, Farmington Hills and Livonia, Michigan. Plans are in the works to expand classes to other areas throughout the state of Michigan by 2011. LLG will assist individuals who successfully complete the training courses to obtain jobs with some of the top insurance companies in Michigan.
"Most people in Michigan hold insurance of some kind, whether it's life, health, property or casualty. To meet that consistent demand, insurance companies are hiring new sales agents and depend on professionals learning the materials and passing state exams quickly," said Williams. "We have transformed what is typically a mundane course into a dynamic interactive experience, delivered in a way that enables new hires to pass the exam the first time."
Registration is now open for the first course in life and health insurance which begins Feb. 15, 2010 by visiting www.launchlg.com or calling 313-202-6700.
