Laura Pomerantz Joins Cushman & Wakefield as Vice Chairman and Head of Strategic Accounts

NEW YORK, Oct. 15, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Cushman & Wakefield announced today that Laura Pomerantz has joined the firm as Vice Chairman and Head of Strategic Accounts, effective immediately. Ms. Pomerantz, who most recently served as principal and founding partner of Laura Pomerantz Real Estate, LLC, is expected to be joined by five professionals from her firm, including her longstanding associates, Betty Ende and Ilyssa Schwartzberg.

Ms. Pomerantz will lead the newly formed Strategic Accounts group and will be responsible for growing relationships at the firm. With her deep experience working on both office and retail transactions, she will provide clients with significant added value. Strategic Accounts will grow internationally and Laura will have an integral role in working with Cushman & Wakefield's professionals.

Prior to establishing Laura Pomerantz Real Estate, Ms. Pomerantz was Principal and Co-Founder of PBS Real Estate and PBS/Gould Ventures. She also served as a Senior Managing Director at Newmark & Company Real Estate, with senior level responsibility for major tenant representation assignments. She was the Executive Vice President at The Leslie Fay Companies for 18 years and served on their Board of Directors.

Ms. Pomerantz serves on several business boards including G-III, a public apparel manufacturing and retail company, and ROIC, a real estate public company REIT, as well as serving on a private Real Estate Fund Board for AREA Properties, the former Apollo Real Estate. She is a member of the Carnegie Hall Board of Trustees, serving on its Executive Committee and as Chairman of its Special Events Committee. Ms. Pomerantz is also on the Board of Directors of the Richard Tucker Foundation and formerly served on the Board of Women In Need and the Metropolitan Opera. She was the recipient of the NOW Legal Defense and Education Fund Equal Opportunity Award in 1990, and was an inductee to the YWCA's Academy of Women Achievers in 1992.
