NEW YORK, July 12, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Simulmedia, the leading provider of data-driven television solutions for national advertisers today announced that Laurel Bernard has joined the company as President, Entertainment Marketing. Ms. Bernard recently departed from Fox Broadcasting where, for the past nine years, she held the post of EVP of Marketing. In that capacity she successfully helped launch and maintain memorable network shows including "Empire," "American Idol," "Glee," "Twenty-Four," "The Simpsons" and "Family Guy." During Ms. Bernard's 27-year tenure at FOX she worked across four different business units including 20th Century Fox Film, Fox Home Entertainment, Fox Searchlight and two stints at Fox Broadcasting. Some of her favorite projects from her film years included "Moulin Rouge," "Star Wars Episode One," "Little Miss Sunshine" and "Juno."
Simulmedia has established a market-leading position in Tune-in advertising because of its unique ability to plan and activate data-driven TV campaigns for broadcasters designed to reach the most profitable audience segments quickly and efficiently. Using its VAMOS platform, Simulmedia targets audiences across all of television (as opposed to placing spots in specific programs), and then measures the subsequent behavior of those exposed to the advertising.
"I have worked with Simulmedia and seen first-hand their ability to drive the kind of results that TV marketers need," said Ms. Bernard. "I am energized by the opportunity to help expand Simulmedia's footprint in Hollywood, where all entertainment marketers are beset by the challenge of finding audiences quickly, efficiently and at scale, and driving those audiences to take an action."
Ms. Bernard will report to Michael Zimbalist, Chief Marketing Officer of Simulmedia who said: "We are thrilled to have Laurel join our growing Los Angeles team. Her industry knowledge, expertise, drive and enthusiasm will be invaluable as we expand our marketing solutions for entertainment advertisers in tune-in, home entertainment, theatrical and beyond."
Ms. Bernard is a member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences and on the Board of Directors for PromaxBDA.
Simulmedia, Inc. (www.simulmedia.com) is a New York based marketing technology company founded in 2008. Through its market-leading VAMOS platform, Simulmedia is the only company that can provide advertisers the reach and resonance of linear television combined with the targeting and performance of digital media. Using VAMOS's intelligent audience optimization engine, Simulmedia plans and activates TV campaigns to reach the most profitable audience segments, including those built upon an advertiser's CRM file, or DMP. VAMOS is powered by a single source massively scaled data-set that blends viewing behavior with actual purchase data, thus making possible the direct attribution of sales to TV ad exposure. Unique to Simulmedia, this capability can be extended to other business outcomes such as app downloads, website visits, or TV tune-in.
