BEND, Ore., April 18, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Manzama announced that Tony Abena, formerly President, Global Legal and President, Business of Law for Thomson Reuters, has joined its Board of Directors as the company prepares for the launch of a variety of new offerings to drive its growth and the growth of its legal and professional services industry clients globally.
Mr. Abena is an experienced leader with a long track record successfully building and scaling information/data/software/services businesses across industries. Currently, he serves as an Operating Partner at Seven Peaks Ventures, a VC firm focused on investing in disruptive Software/SaaS companies and entrepreneurs in emerging Western regional technology hub cities. He has also built and led new businesses as CEO or COO at Deloitte, Gartner and Insite Software.
Previously at Thomson Reuters, the top provider of information and workflow-based solutions to the global legal system, Tony was responsible for leading a $1.7B business that helped over 200,000 law firms deliver their legal work product and run their businesses with higher growth and profitability. Among the entities under Tony's management were some of the top brands in the legal software, data and services spaces, including Westlaw, Elite, FindLaw, Hubbard One, and Hildebrandt Baker Robbins. Each of these companies became the market leaders in their respective segments under Tony's leadership.
